There are some dings and scratches, but the lenses are clean and the sensor is as well. The monitor has a tacky stickiness to it, I am not sure why. It has been in a Peli case in a hot garage, so maybe the plastic finish has some weird reaction? The monitor still functions perfectly, giving confidence to the video shot, and has several focus and exposure tools built in to provide a complete understanding of the shot. This kit has everything needed to shoot great videos and stills and has room to expand. The Wooden Camera Cage allows for the connection of many components in countless configurations. Add a light? Add a Mic? or wireless? or any number of other components. It's an excellent starter kit for a young filmmaker. The Canon 24-105 lens is widely known to be the best (only one lens) choice, meaning if you are only going to carry one lens, this is the best option. I am also including a Canon 40mm Pancake lens. This lens is great, and I leave it on the camera at all times when traveling (essentially replacing my lens cap), It is super lightweight and small and has a pleasing field of view that roughly matches the human perspective.
