Description: This listing is for a Camp Bomazeen 75th anniversary 2020 Bushcraft program Patch. This patch was to be one of 5 Camp Bomazeen Bushcraft program patches but camp was cancelled due to the pandemic. Now they are a benefit patch for our program. The Camp Bomazeen Bushcraft committee and staff have decided moving forward for the next couple of years that the participation patches will feature the current Camp Staff. For 2020 they featured the Bushway (area director) Montawagon, for 2021 they featured Segundo Turtle. Moving forward they will feature other staffers of the program. These great collectable patches also feature the Bomazeen Bushcraft tribal Flu-de-lilse. The Camp Bomazeen Bushcraft Program is an 1840s fur trade living history program which was born from the Black Powder Program offered at Camp Bomazeen back in 1991-1994. Eventually the program moved to Camp Roosevelt in Katahdin Area Council where it ran for a number of years. Camp Hinds tried to start a similar program called "Frontiersmen" which ran for a few years then fizzled out. Camp Bomazeen was closed from 2003 to 2013. When it re-opened to Boy Scouts in 2014 one of the many specialty week programs offered was the Bushcraft Program which still operates today. Camp Bomazeen is part of Pine Tree Council and Madockawanda Lodge. Pine Tree Council also is home to Camp Hinds, Gustin and Nutter. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
