Description: Cambridge SoundWorks Model 88 radio, designed by Henry Kloss. Kloss designed the first acoustic suspension loudspeaker at Acoustic Research in the 1950's, went on to be the " K" in KLH and also a major player at Advent. Kloss designed this radio for Cambridge SoundWorks as a "statement product". The name was chosen in part because a piano has 88 keys and 88 is the first number on an FM dial. The Model 88's driver complement includes two full-range 2.5-inch speakers and a 4-inch, separately powered, woofer which occupies about two thirds of the unit's volume and handles the frequency range below 200 Hz, so the sound is excellent. It has RCA and a 3.5mm inputs and a sub-woofer control for extended bass range. Includes a working remore control. Ships via USPS Ground Advantage.
