Description: California Pottery Rooster Sugar Canister Hand Painted Wood Lid For consideration is this vintage MCM Mid-Century Modern sugar canister with a hand painted colorful rooster on the front and a wood lid. It measures 9 inches tall with the lid on and the canister measures 8 inches tall, the mouth measures 4¾ inches in diameter and the body measures 7 ½ inches in diameter. The base is stamped in black in “Hand Painted Made In Calif.”. The canister is in excellent vintage condition with no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs noted. Heavy crazing can be seen with a magnifying glass. The lid is rustic looking from use as the lacquer finish has either rubbed or flaked away.
