He is a member of the National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC). In 2001, Casa de las Américas recognized Martínez’s talent with La Joven Estampa Award at the National Salon of Engraving, in the Young Engravers category. Frank Martínez se graduó de la Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Alejandro (1993) y del Instituto Superior de Arte (2000), ambos en La Habana. Es miembro de la Unión Nacional de Escritores y Artistas Cubanos (UNEAC). En 2001, Casa de las Américas reconoció el talento de Martínez con el Premio La Joven Estampa en el Salón Nacional de Grabado, en la categoría Jóvenes Grabadores.
