Description: LONG WAVE UV Beautifully formed, large golden Calcite crystal on matrix. The Berry Quarry is well known for producing these lovely Calcite crystals with a pseudo rhombic-dodecahedral shape and tend to reflect light back with an inner glow like way. This specimen is attached still to a Sandstone matrix and it is actually several crystals that grew together. Complete specimen with no cleaved faces and only a couple of small, very minor bruises near at the back end. The crystal is peppered with small micro Marcasite inclusions. There are also small white Calcite crystals and Sphalerite crystals on the matrix which magnification is suggested in order to have a good look at. Fluoresces orange under long wave UV light. This specimen is from an old collection I acquired last year and has been one of my nicer display specimens. Comes with label and a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" display box.
