Description: Cahill & Company Good Books At Great Prices Summer 1994 Catalog (As-Is) Description Up for sale is a vintage (or nearing vintage) Cahill & Company Books catalog from the summer of 1994. This catalog had been lying around the house; situated in an open storage bin/tote for the past number of years (or decades, rather) simply just collecting quite a bit of dust on it (which was all cleaned up for the purpose of this sale) and had unfortunately got jammed in a crate along with several other publications, so that when it was yanked out of the crate (rather carelessly, I should say) the rear cover page and the next to last page were both ripped up (with the torn up pieces being rather unsalvageable) hence the reason why I'm selling this catalog in as-is condition. Besides the obvious tear on the back of this catalog, there are also other signs of wear brought on by overall age and general storage; appearing mostly in the form of yellowing/spotting on the pages; scuff marks appearing along the top and other minor page rips and/or creases. There is also another tear located on the front cover located a little below the middle towards the left near the stapled spline that's basically a small knothole of sorts. Since this publication is printed on what I presume to be an upcycled type of newsprint or recycled material I should say; it's very prone to instances of wear over time. The catalog measures approximately 10 & 13/16" tall by 8" wide and contains a total of 36 visible numbered pages on it; however, it would have technically been 40 pages in total (were it not for the rips on the last pair of pages; one of which is the rear cover - and that's the best guesstimate on my part since the cover page counts as page 1, so it's either 39 pages with the rear cover page or 40 in total as I really can't speculate what the numerical convention was for this publication). Anyways, since this catalog has quite a bit of wear and obvious signs of damage on it, I'm selling it in as-is condition. I figure if someone out there has an additional copy of this publication, they can always restore it by making a copy of the remaining pages and simply tape the pieces together or something along those lines... it could be a fool's errand of course, but if you have some time to kill and want to learn the craft of book restoration, this project could be a good starting point. If all else fails, this catalog can always be used as a movie prop or perhaps even serve as material for a multimedia art project or something else along those lines. And if you have a paper shredder at your disposal, you can always use the shredded bits as packing material. Items like this can always be repurposed with some out of the box thinking.
