Description: Cabinet photograph depicting the Conservatory at Krug Park in St Joseph Missouri. The Conservatory, housed many varieties of plants, including banana trees. It also was home to monkeys as part of the menagerie of Krug Park. Krug Park was officially open to the public on May 6, 1902. The conservatory was once located amongst the flower gardens. Flowers for the gardens were grown inside the conservatory. Over the years, the conservatory fell to despair and it was razed in 1924 or 1925. The building was replaced by the lower parking lot near the park's entrance. Overall 6” x 7”. Nice clean image. Mount has mild edge wear.
