Description: C.1970's Cinched & Rope Tied, Drapery - a La "Christo-Style Wrapped," White Powder-Coated Satin Lamp by Frederick Cooper C.1970's Vintage Frederick Cooper satin glazed, powder-coated plaster lamp, of a ceramic body in a "wet-drapery," a La "cinch-wrapped & rope tied," motif, a tromp l'roil crafted design to this lamp. A 3-way light with retractible cording, ALL original and in working condition, with brown a felted base bottom protective barrier. Think the iconic pieces of the well-known Designer, John Dickinson and the style he incorporated in furniture and lighting, or Serge Roche and Jean Michel Frank pieces, of their time, and of course the well known artist, Christo and his Wrapped, Site-specific, outdoor art sculptures/assemblages, for the masses, and one would think any of those aforementioned artist(s) have given to the genre of Interior Design a much needed, and evolved framework of what we call good Design, but sculptural, artistic and usable, "ready to wear," Mantra of Form and Function, as this lamp is from a an Iconic Lighting Manufacturing Company, based in Chicago Illinois.
