c1932 Palest Pink & Floral English Bone China Teacup Saucer Copelands Grosvenor

Description: This is a lovely vintage, almost antique, teacup and saucer by Copelands Grosvenor China of England. It painted the palest pink on the inside of the cup and on the saucer, with a pretty bouquet of flowers in the center of each. The edges of both the cup and saucer are very slightly scalloped and edged in shiny gold. The handle is painted in a pale green that that is also on the foot of the cup, and goes with the thin green lines circling the floral centers and the line around the outside of the cup. It is a really pretty set. Grosvenor China was the trademark of Jackson & Gosling Ltd that made porcelain at the Grosvenor Works in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent since 1909, originally established 1866 in Fenton, England. Copelands purchased Grosvenor China in 1932 which explains the combined name and backstamp on this set, which was not used very long. This particular set is in excellent vintage almost antique condition. I see no cracks, chips, or crazing, and minimal wear on the glaze when looking at an angle to the light. There is very little rub wear to the gold trim that I can see with a bright light. There is little wear to the floral design in the centers of the cup and saucer. The pale green handle and foot show little wear but the pale green line on the outside of the cup shows a tad of rub wear and so does the green line circling the flowers on the saucer’s center. The cup is almost 4 inches in diameter and is 2 inches tall, and holds 3/4 cup. The saucer is 5 & 1/2 inches in diameter.
