ACCORDING to CHITTY WHO PUBLISHED 2 BOOKLETS in 1918 on TRADESMENS TOKENS & VARIOUS AUSTRALIAN CHECK PIECES, the O G & Co 3d, 6d, 9d & 1 Shilling TOKEN or CHECK PIECES were PRODUCED by OSMOND GILLIES & Co. O G & Co were HORSE CONVEYANCE OPERATORS in ADELAIDE in the EARLY 1900s. HOWEVER SEE BELOW. SOME ENGLISH DEALERS SAY THAT O G & Co is OSBORNE GARRETT & CO of AUSTRALIA but were BARBERS & USED the TOKENS in the 1930s. I TEND TO GO WITH THE HORSE CONVEYANCING as MANY of THESE O G & Co HAVE SURFACED IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA & the O G ROAD CONNECTION of KLEMZIG is MY PREFERRED EXPLANATION.
