It is from the Ninth Edition of The Encyclopedia Britannica, as stated in the bottom margin. The Ninth Edition was published as the classic "Scholar's Edition" and was actually published in 25 volumes between 1875 to 1889, so the actual date of the map would fall somewhere in between. Some of the maps have a more conservative date of 1890 penciled in the bottom margin. It is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown against a dark background in the pic. It has brilliant color printed on nice paper that is still very bright. Size: The map image measures approximately 8 1/4 by 11 1/2 inches (21x29cm) on a 9 1/4 by 12 1/2" (24x32cm) page. Condition: The map is in Very Good condition with a centerfold as issued, blank on reverse. There is light tonal ageing, otherwise it is very clean with no obvious defects to mention, see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map.
