Description: Right from the Bellview, Ohio Tudor Mansion and Estate of Richard Stegman, Jr. and he had only the best & the unusual. This will be NO Exception and from his lifetime collection. Richard paid $900.00 for this tray years ago and I am leaving the tag on.Normally these SEVRES PORTRAIT TYPE offerings are Plates ... in all my years I have never had a LARGE 14 1/2" TRAY. and of course so many (commonly found I might add) are Napoleon Related ... this one is MONUMENTAL with a Very Ornate Hand Painted .... perhaps COURTING SCENE. Take the time to view my many photos. It actually has what appears to be the STUDIO at the time, HAND PAINTED LABEL ID and I am not expertise enough to attribute the French wording and appears to be STUDIO NAME and perhaps town. See Photos #3 & #13. It is also my opinion that it is probably artist signed and when the heavy gold was placed ... covered the signature, as most were signed at the edge of the portrait scene. FAIR ASKING PRICE low SHIPPINGI LOVE MY JOB! (Okay eBay is FUN and here is what I have concluded is the "Scene" on this WONDERFUL PLATE! ---- "That's DAD coming to catch (or protect) his Fair Young Pretty Daughter from this "playboy with fancy hat" and those two girls are the "Jealous not so pretty tattletale" sisters!" ---- Yes, indeed! ---- Oh, stop.... I'm allowed!)
