Description: LEWIS, C.S Prince Caspian - The Return to Narnia - First Edition - 1951The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - First Edition/Fourth Impression - 1952The Silver Chair - Fifth ImpressionThe Horse and his Boy - Fifth Impression Description The Prince here is a clean and neat example of the rare first edition. It has survived well. The condition is very good indeed or better. The dust jacket is complete and the price is unclipped. There are some small tears along the top edge as shown and a little rubbing on the front flap edge. Spine lightly toned, otherwise the colours remain correct. Also the price is the correct amount of 10s. 6d. End papers show the map of the north.Very much in a collectible condition and scarce indeed in the dust jacket. The same is true for the other three volumes. The book itself is blue cloth on boards with silver lettering which remains bright and as was originally. The binding is good and tight, ever so slightly left leaning. The pages are very clean and white— also is a standout point of this book. Very little spotting/toning, if any.Prince Caspian (originally published as Prince Caspian: The Return to Narnia) is a high fantasy novel for children by C. S. Lewis, published by Geoffrey Bles in 1951. It was the second published of seven novels in The Chronicles of Narnia (1950–1956), and Lewis had finished writing it in 1949, before the first book was out. Illustrated by Pauline Baynes. This collection includes: The Silver Chair, The Horse and His Boy and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. These are the fifth, fifth and fourth impressions. The condition is very good indeed to near fine. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader being exceptional. The Horse and His Boy, has some tearing and some chipping to the jacket however. All, in fact, are uncommonly nice examples. There is only a little sunning, as with The Prince. The jackets are not price clipped (The Horse being the exception) and all of the books are free from inscriptions and well looked-after.
