Description: Up for auction is a used and rare 1955 C. G. Conn 8H Elkhart tenor trombone. The tuning slide moves freely and the hand slide action is smooth. There are no major dents present and several minor dings do not affect performance. The inner hand slide tubes have minor plating wear. This trombone has scratches throughout from normal use and there is some lacquer wear(mostly on the hand slide). The hand slide serial number is in the 543,xxx range which dates the year of manufacture to approximately 1955 with no slide lock ring or lug. This trombone would benefit from a professional cleaning upon delivery. Included is a somewhat used Conn trombone wood shell case(lid interior is coming unglued and the entire case has odor throughout, exterior has heavy wear, bell holding tabs are in place) which should probably be replaced but is fine for shipping.
