Description: C F Monroe Kelva Hand Painted Lidded Glass Box, Olive Green with Pink Flowers Beautiful antique lidded dresser box, hand painted over a white opal ware glass body. The lid and body are decorated with intricate pink and white blooms with raised enamel centers. The background color is a mottled olive green in the distinctive batik-like style of the Kelva line of C F Monroe. The metal trim is attached with plaster of paris, which can be seen on the inside of the bowl near the rim. Produced from the 1890s through 1916.Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs. Finish is in excellent condition with no noticeable wear or damage. Metal is tarnished. No liner. Marks: Stamped red Kelva Trade Mark.
