Description: Bromo Seltzer was an extremely popular drug, in the form of a powder, introduced in about 1888 by Isaac Emerson, in Baltimore. This concoction was heavily promoted as a remedy for “sick headache”, upset stomach, headache, hangover and other maladies. Very nice antique condition from approximately 1900. BROMO SELZER EMERSON DRUG CO. BALTIMORE is embossed on the front of this 2½” tall old medicine bottle for cork closure. The deep cobalt blue mouth-blown glass vessel has a rounded band lip and two vertical mold seams along the sides of the bottle. No mold number on the bottom. Vivid, clear and bright cobalt blue color. No chips, cracks or fading.
