The Anniversary Straight Handle Battle Mistress is no longer available for sale through the Busse Combat because it's Sold Out, and has been Discontinued!Jerry Busse introduced the model Anniversary Straight Handle Battle Mistress in 2013 and this has been discontinued. This uses the Busse Combat Anniversary Straight Handle Battle Mistress Limited Edition blank which is a .32" INFI blank that is Flat Ground with a custom Hand Finished Satin Blade. The options were with and without a full size choil and we can see this one is one with the choil. Busse got a hold of one of those blanks and did a real number on this one. Instead of the Nuclear Meltdown Treatment (Rounded Edges) on the spine of the knife, they decided to do a free hand grind and put a swedge pretty much the length of the blade to cut weight and easier for penetration. Making the blade lighter will make the action faster. The Busse Custom Shop went all out on the handle and went with a Custom Hand Smoothed/Shaped Full Green/Tan Birdseye Maple Wood Handle finished off with Mosaic Pins. The ASHBM has been a very popular model and follows the original SHBM but made more updated to be longer, thicker, stronger and much easier on the eyes. I believe the ASHBM the most of the Heavy Duty chopping duties of the FFBM and NMFBM. This has a Full Height Flat Ground Hand Finished Satin Blade with the swedge is more functional than you can see, you have to hold it to understand what the abilities are. I purchased this directly from Busse Combat and it was never used, carried or sharpened and it was from my personal collection where I kept this as a safe queen! This is made of the infamous INFI Steel which is a proprietary Steel is used ONLY by Busse Combat! This knife will be backed 100% with Lifetime Warranty from Busse Combat!
