Description: Burning of the Gaspee collectible plate made by Haviland Limoges in 1972. Designed by French artist Remy Hetreau to commemorate the bicentennial of the 1772 incident leading up to independence for the American colonies. Measures 9.75" across. In very good, pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or damage of any kind. Made from heavy ceramic, possibly stoneware, with a matte glazed finish. The front side is colorfully illustrated, the back has the maker's marks and logo, artist signature stamp, and story of the Gaspee incident.
