Broken/read description- Sony fat PlayStation 2 SCPH-39001 for Repair/Parts ONLY

Description: This PS2 does not work. Do not buy this if you are looking for an operational PS2. Here are the issues with this PS2:The ribbon cable that connects the controller ports to the rest of the console has disconnected from the console end. I don't know how to get to the part under the heat sink that is supposed to clip on to the ribbon cable.The disc drive does not read blue-backed CD-ROM-based games; it makes a screeching/grinding sound when one is put in. I remember it would also periodically crash when navigating Guitar Hero III's menu or when viewing the introductory movie for ATV Offroad Fury 2 (both DVD-based games), I don't know if these are related.When we were attempting to fix the disc drive, we adjusted the potentiometers, but it did not fix it. The potentiometers will probably need to be adjusted again.The end of the disc tray (with the PS2 logo) has broken off. The tray still opens and closes, though.There are some cosmetic wear on the outside, such as a sizeable scratch on the bottom.The system powers on as normal. It has been opened a few times, when trying to fix the disc drive, and has had the dust blown out of it. Also included are the original manual, the original AV cable, (composite, not component) and the original power cable. This was my childhood PS2 from 2002, and has served me well, it just needs someone to restore it to its former glory. You can keep it, of course. :P
