Description: British The Pride Of The Village #2 Staffordshire 8 1/4 Inch Child's Plate Nice antique British pearlware octagonal plate with relief molded flowers along the border. Decorated in the Pride of the Village #2 pattern in black transfer with hand colored highlights in orange, yellow, and green. Green trim along the edge. Unmarked. Circa 1840s. Has crazing typical of earthenware, a flake to the front edge, some glaze wear along the edge, and some spots of staining, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 8 1/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. KW
