Description: An original 1908 Prince Albert's Somerset Light Infantry Field Service Side Cap & White Metal Cap Badge. The cap is in black fabric. Two brass general service buttons are on the front. The interior of the cap has a maker's label "Hobson & Sons, Army Contractors, 1,3,5 Lexington St, Golden Square, London W", with the size 22 1/2 and the date 1908. Hobson & Sons moved to 1,3,5 Lexington St in 1890. The cap badge is is a bugle with strings, surmounted by a mural crown with a scroll above inscribed "Jellalabad", with the Prince's monogram "PA" in the center. The badge measures 4.0 X 4.2 cm and has a slider fitting. Both cap and badge are in very good condition. The fabric band around the interior has some mothing. We ship worldwide.
