Description: This auction is for a group of (2) banknotes portraying King George VI (ND(1937) 2 Rupees from India (P-17a); 19.9.1942 1 Rupee from Ceylon (P-34). These notes are both circulated and have some or all of the following: folding and wear (may also have many heavier creases and many areas of wrinkled folding - India note is curled and has a folded-over section and the lower right corner area is torn away); overall staining and darker areas of spot/line/section stains (may also have smudges, dark and dirty areas, grease stains, areas of discoloration, areas of foreign substance); edge and corner wear (including corners rounded and/or split/frayed - edges rough in many areas with some pieces missing on the India note); edge indents/nicks (India note with multiple tears); surface wear and fraying (also includes areas of paper loss on the India note); the India note has a smaller hole/inner tear; obviously pieces missing on the India note.
