Just knowing and singing with him for the past sixyears means a lot to me, especially, in my life for Christ. TheMessengers are mostly composed of Tip's family with Tip himselfsinging the lead. His son, Wayne, singing tenor, his daughter.Carolyn, singing alto and yours truly, singing bass.Tip’s other daughter, Marcene, does a wonderful job at thepiano. Not long ago we were fortunate in having a very talentedgentleman, Mr. Ken Stidham, join us with his bass guitar. This, wefeel, has improved our group tremendously.We have put together in this album eleven of our most re-quested songs, with our most requested song. “Peace Like aRiver", as the title song. It features Carolyn singing the lead and itsounds as if the writer composed the song just for her. Tip isfeatured on the lead next in a beautiful song called "Gone". After"hearing him sing, you will know why his music is known and lovedby everyone.I guess the song. “Lighthouse", featuring Wayne in the lead ismy favorite. I find it very difficult to sing along with him on thissong, because of the feeling he puts forth. I usually can't sing forrejoicing. I’m very proud to be a part of this quartet and to dedicatethis album to Tip Casteel, a true friend in Christ.
