He stands correctly and has no damage or noticed factory flaws. The listing includes his original box and Certificate of Authenticity. He has been carefully displayed and maintained in a glass curio cabinet in my non-smoking, adult only home since he was purchased as part of the limited edition. Tenacious is the first porcelain produced in the series. Just About Horses subscriber could submit a card from the magazine and a drawing of 350 cards determined which lucky entries would be offered the opportunity to purchase a model. He has a shiny, beautifully detailed bay tobiano coat. He has a braided mane and large star. He has socks / stockings and tan / natural hooves on all four legs. He is attached to a porcelain base that looks like a grassy path. The bottom of the base has an oval that states “Connoisseur Series 2003: breyergallery logo; TENACIOUS Bay Pinto Cob; Hand Painted . Fine Porcelain By Somner Prosser; Limited Edition of 227 / 350” The 227 is hand written. Comes with a wood presentation base (not rectangle) is shaped to match the irregular shape of the porcelain base. A brass nameplate says “TENACIOUS”. The Certificate of Authenticity says: Connoisseur 2003 Tenacious –Fourteenth in the Series Limited to 350 Pieces Tenacious Certificate of Authenticity Crafted from the finest bisque porcelain and delicately hand-painted.
