Description: Breguet - the third-oldest luxury watch brand in the world – was established in 1775 in Paris. The horological innovations and the bejeweled elegance of the timepieces created by its founder Abraham-Louis Breguet (the originator of tourbillon and self-winding mechanism, among other breakthrough discoveries) made them popular at the royal court. Louis XVI bought several of them himself and Marie Antoinette had one created just for her. Throughout the centuries and to this day, Breguet remains the equivalent of highest quality standards in watchmaking and accounts among its patrons as Napoleon Bonaparte, Alexander Pushkin, Queen Victoria, Sir Winston Churchill, Sergei Rachmaninov, Nicolas Sarkozy. This particular watch is Ladies Type XX Transatlantique (one of only five series in the women’s timepieces collection). Model No. 4821ST/59/s76.d000 Stainless steel body and bracelet. The bracelet’s links a combination of the brushed and polished finish. Bezel set with 49 top quality diamonds and 1 sapphire, weighing a total of approximately 0.65 ct. Uni-directional rotation. Round face with a blue-hued Mother-of-Pearl dial. Luminous hands and Arabic numerals at each hour. The dial displays the maker's logo in its top portion. Date window displayed at the 6 o’clock position. Three additional dials: 12-hour elapsed-time register, 30-minute elapsed-time register and the seconds keeper. Crystal is scratch resistant sapphire. The watch secures with a hidden folding clasp embossed with the signature “B”. The watch’s caseback is engraved with the full brand and model name, bears the model number as well as the serial number 72425. Movement is self-winding Automatic Chronograph Breguet Caliber 550, containing 38 jewels. Screw-down crown. Approximate power reserve – 48 hours.Water resistant to 100m/330ft. Case is 33.5 mm diameter and 12.5 mm thick (that lovely substantial thickness only Breguets possess). Bracelet fits 7” wrist. Comes complete with the original leather-covered pillowed heavy wooden box, leather-covered Breguet booklet, the model’s manual, and the original outer carton. DISCLOSURE: PLEASE NOTE, THE CHRONOGRAPHER PUSHER IS MISSING ITS COVER CAP. OTHERWISE, THE WATCH IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. BARELY USED. LAST TIME SERVICED IN 2019. NOT WORN SINCE.
