Description: Description: At the time of listing, I have two pieces as these were likely a pair of bookends. I am listing them separately as A and B. The steam engine is likely brass or bronze (it is not magnetic). I do see an area that looks like wear showing white metal underneath. The material may be pewter underneath, as pewter is also not magnetic. The bottom I believe to be onyx. The piece measures 7” long, 2.5” wide and 5.5” tall. Each piece weighs 2 pounds, 14 ounces.I have not found a maker's mark. Others sellers attribute this piece to New Diamond, but I am not able to confirm that. Condition: The onyx is in excellent condition. The train has tarnish Each glass is free of chips, cracks or flea bites. Clarity is lovely. Please see photos.
