When he left school he worked for a few years as a pharmacy technician, dispensing medicines in busy East London chemists shops. Not being a corporate person, he went freelance, supplying consultancy to all manner of commercial and public bodies. His path took him to recruitment and management, from which he retired in 2001 after a 35 year career. He then wrote a series of short stories, Brain Dump being the longest, with the intention of self-publishing them one day. His leisure interests include music (of many genres), photography, reading, classic cars (a Chevrolet Corvette and a Rover 3.5 Litre Coupé), travel, real ale, malt whisky, wine and food appreciation.
