Description: Boston & Sandwich Overlay Cased Cut Glass Converted Oil Lamp. Double Glass. c.1845-1860 White Cut to Cranberry Cased Glass and Cranberry Cut to Clear. Bronze & Marble Base. 27 1/2" high to top of finial. 13 3/4" to top ofburnerfitting. Marble base: 5" square. Glass font only: 5 1/2" wide 4 1/2" high. A beautiful historic lamp. Nicely converted oil lamp to electric. This was my nicest BostonSandwich Lamp of the five we had this I intended to keep. Electrical wire is external coming right out from behind socket as you can see in pictures five and six. The other four we had owners all converted them back to oil. Cheers: ) Condition: Excellent.
