Description: Boston, MA- Jameson & Richardson's Restaurant 3¢ ND (ca. 1862-63) PMG Extremely Fine 40. Thomas Jameson and Oliver L. Richardson ran a very popular restaurant at 1 Spring Lane in Boston ca. 1860-64. The 1867 city directory lists only Jameson for the restaurant and by 1869 the restaurant was no longer listed in city directories. The face of the note bears a passing resemblance to the Third Issue 3¢ fractional currency design. Fully issued in lightly circulated condition, this note served as the plate note in Benny Bolin's new book on Fractional Currency look-a-likes, mimics, and payables. There is only one other example of this note ever existing. True one of a kind find.
