It has dual alarms and a rear-panel 3.5mm headphone jack for private listening. Bose’s Waveguide speaker technology provides rich, room-filling sound all from a compact tabletop music system that fits just about anywhere in your home. What’s included in this particular purchase is the Wave Music System III in graphite grey, 8' AC power cord, demonstration CD, owner's manual and 2 remote controls: the standard credit card style remote and a Bose Control Pod (small scratch on pod, see photos). This additional remote can be used to mute, adjust the volume and turn the system on or off. The control pod comes with a mountable base that, if desired, can be installed in a frequently used area. The base was never used so it’s brand new. The AM/FM Turner on this Bose Wave Music System has 12 available presets: 6 AM & 6 FM. When you select FM radio, RDS information for the current station displays artist name and song title when available. The system has a single CD slot that also works with CD-R and CD-RW discs. The Bose Wave Music System has a feature called TALK RADIO MODE. Talk radio broadcasts can be greatly affected by either the microphone selection or the boosting of low frequencies by some radio stations. This is an attempt to improve speech when heard through conventional radios. In high-quality audio products, this results in sound that is unnatural or bass heavy. By selecting the "Talk Radio" mode, the system automatically adjusts to compensate for artificially boosted low frequencies. The dual alarms allows for two different wakeup times that can be set and customized for each person's preferences (radio station, disc, beep etc). The snooze time can be set to 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60 minutes. The Sleep Timer feature can be set to shut the unit off automatically after a selected period of time (10-90 minutes in 10 minute increments). The brightness level of the display on the Bose Wave music system III automatically adjusts. It brightens the display for better visibility in high ambient light conditions and dims the display making it less intrusive in low ambient light conditions.
