Description: Bonade Bb Clarinet Ligature, inverted version, #2250, silver plated. It is inverted so that the screws are on top of the mouthpiece instead of the conventional bottom. If you are not familiar with this type of ligature - it has two rails to hold the reed (see photo) which allows the reed to be flat on the mouthpiece. The plain conventional ligature grips the reed from the sides and can possibly warp the reed, especially since the average student usually tightens the ligature too much.
