Description: For sale is a Very Good condition hardcover BOMC copy of Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell. Book-of-the-Month Club edition, published in 1949 by Haddon Craftsmen with permission from Harcourt, Brace and Company, New York. (BOMC edition with small black dot on the bottom of back cover board, and Haddon Craftsmen line on the bottom of copyright page.) Binding is sound and pages are unmarked, with the exception of minor scuffing on the front free endpaper. Boards are clean and square with extremely minor bumping to the bottom two corners. Original dust jacket features $3.00 cover price, and appears to be an original, (not BOMC). DJ shows minor shelf wear with scuffing to the corners and around the edges. There is a small tear at the top right corner of the dustjacket as well as a crease on the back, bottom edge of the jacket. Dustjacket is now being protected in a clear, removable sleeve.
