The bolt action works as a lead advance on the pencil and the advance and retract on the pen. This set is in a Rifle Case and it makes it a real eye catcher. The pen and pencil are both 5-3/8" long. I would consider this a standard diameter set. The camo bodies adds to the theme of this set. This set has an antique look that is so popular. These are made on a metal lathe form solid metal round stock blanks; these are made from Rebar, Aluminum, Brass, and Copper. These are drilled out to 3/8” and a brass tube glued in to mount the hardware to. The Rebar is lightly cleaned on a wire wheel and sprayed with a clear coat to protect the steel from rusting. The other metal pens are turned to the proper size and the sanded for a smooth surface. These pen bodies are not sealed or coated. They will patina as each type of metal will.
