Description: The BOLEX "Zoom Reflex" series of 8mm cameras was introduced in 1961, beginning with the P1. The camera features a built-in SOM Berthiot Pan Cinor f/1.9 zoom lens with a focal length range from 8mm to 40mm. The camera offers a reflex viewing system that uses a split-image rangefinder; a needle indicator in the viewfinder allows proper exposure to be determined. The eyepiece is adjustable to the user's eyesight and included a removable rubber eyecup. VARIABLE SPEED: 12, 16, 18, 24, 32, 48 and 64 frames per second. filming. VARIABLE SHUTTER: Adjustable dial changes the shutter opening from 0-165 degrees to allow for shortened exposure times and fades. FOOTAGE COUNTER: Precise reading of exposed film footage. Resets to zero upon reloading. SINGLE FRAME: A cable release socket allows the user to expose single frames for filming animation, titles, etc. MANUAL REWIND: A small hand crank allows for rewinding film up to 60 frames.
