Description: This is an Official 1981 World Series baseball signed by two Hall of Fame pitchers, Bob Feller and Hal Newhouser.The 1981 World Series had the Los Angeles Dodgers playing the New York Yankees, with the Dodgers winning the Series in six games. The signatures were authenticated by PSA/DNA and the PSA/DNA Certification Number is AN60691. The signatures are in blue ink. There is wear and discoloration on the ball, please see the photographs. PSA/DNA's Certificate of Authenticity card is included, as well as the PSA/DNA sticker on the ball with the matching Certification Number. This Rawlings baseball has the World Series logo and the facsimile signature of Baseball Commissioner Bowie K. Kuhn. Mr. Feller (1918-2010) was a decorated veteran of World War II, an eight-time All Star, a World Series Champion in 1948, a six-time AL wins leader, a Pitching Triple Crown winner in 1940, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962. He pitched for the Cleveland Indians from 1936-1941, and again when he returned from the war from 1945-1956. When he enlisted in the Navy shortly after Pearl Harbor, he became the first American professional athlete to enlist. Mr. Newhouser (1921-1998) pitched in the major leagues from 1939-1955, fifteen with the Detroit Tigers and the last two as a teammate with Mr. Feller in Cleveland. He was a seven-time All Star, the only pitcher to ever win two consecutive MVP Awards, a World Series Champion in 1945, won the Pitching Triple Crown in 1945, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992.
