Bo worked alongside legendary artists such as Prince, Lionel Richie, Pat Benatar, Bruce Springsteen, Cher, and Chicago during the 80s and 90s, earning a reputation as the king of DX7 programming. With his innovative touch, Bo brought the DX7 to the forefront of countless iconic albums, including Chicago's 17, Michael McDonald, and Al Jarreau's High Crime. His programming transformed the DX7, pushing the boundaries of what was possible with FM synthesis. Tomlyn, alongside Yamaha’s Mike Malizola and Dyno-My-Piano founder Chuck Monte, also co-founded Key Clique—a Studio City-based company that distributed nine DX7 soundbanks, most of which were designed by Bo. These banks contain some of the rarest and most unique sounds ever created for the DX7, making them a collector's dream. This Standard Splits ROM features a wide variety of meticulously programmed analog-style sounds for the DX7, compatible with Yamaha DX7 II, FD, S series keyboards, or the TX802 rackmount (ADP1 adapter required). The soundbanks are split into two banks:Bank A (“Primary”): Featuring a range of pianos, electric pianos, organs, and guitars, such as B/PinoPop, B/Roads, B/Organ, and more.Bank B (“Secondary”): Offering strings, brass, woodwinds, and unique hybrids like B/Strings, B/Trumpet, B/Flute, and Voycezez.
