Description: Original genuine and rare latest type factory BMW motorcycle slash /2 alloy front main bearing carrier, came from a 1969 R60/2. It was recommended by the factory that the iron carriers should be replaced with these aluminum style one as it was lighter and less prone to cracks which most of the iron ones have when removed - just took on out that crumbled to bits on removal . This info can be found in the service sheets sent from the factory. This better aluminum front main bearing carrier, is complete and undamaged with both oil pump gears, for all models 1961 to 1969 R60/2, R50/2, R69S, R50S and all US models, in very good useable condition, if you need one where are you going to get one?. I have seen the iron ones break as they are removed from an old engine, they are very brittle, these alloy ones are not if you plan an engine rebuild in the near future this is a smart buy and this is about as nice as you will find one.
