Description: Blue/Gray Transferware Plate CALIFORNIA Wedgwood Pearl Stone Ware c1850s, 9 3/4" Being offered is a wonderful blue/gray transferware plate, which measures approximately 9 3/4" in dia. This plate has a printed mark with the pattern name "CALIFORNIA", the manufacturer "WEDGWOOD", "PEARL STONE WARE" and a diamond registration mark which dates this pattern to April 2nd, 1849. I believe this pattern was initially produced by Wedgwood's predecessor, Podmore Walker. This plate is in good vibrant condition, no chips, however has a hairline crack, top right viewed from front, and crazing and light staining most noticeable on back (please refer to photos). This plate makes a great display piece of mid 19th century Staffordshire transferware. Please forward any additional questions you may have, thank you. Note: combined shipping provided for multiple items purchased.
