Description: Vintage oil painting on canvas by California artist Blessing "betty" LeMohn 1909-1973. Canvas size is 8x10 but measures about 16x18 framed.Born in Tacoma, WA on Oct. 8, 1909. Blessing (aka Betty) LeMohn moved to Los Angeles with her family as a young girl. She studied in NYC with Robert Brackman. By 1930 she was working as an artist in Los Angeles and soon married artist Frank P. Maginnis. Leaving Los Angeles, she and her family had joint residences in Mendocino, CA and Haney, B.C. While being treated for cancer, she died in Tijuana, Mexico on Nov. 22, 1973.
