Description: Super Rare in Mint Conditions Blenko #6216 In Amethyst Color.. From the Blenko catalogue of 1962, this beauty is in Mint conditions and display beautifully his Amethyst color. It’s shape is stunning and was only produced one year. Not seen very offer on sale the shape and pattern are simply stunning. Blenko's most prolific designer, Husted, is often credited as being the most talented and popular of the company's designers and helped to carve Blenkos's niche in glass history. He was a designer for Blenko from 1952-1963. According to Husted's blog, he created a method to fabricate glass molds in Styrofoam. This technique allowed him to create various textures, which were different from those made from wood molds. Additionally, this decanter was only manufactured by Blenko in 1962.
