The cape comes around to the front on both sides; that's why it has shoulder flaps coming around, too. Made for a small size woman. The collar has Velcro closure, but the neck hole with the Velcro connected is too small for wearing that way. It needs a chain between the two sides (such as a sweater chain with clips on both sides or pin a black ribbon to each side of the collar and then tie them together). Or, pin the cape to the rest of the outfit. A closure is for keeping the cape on~not letting the cape slip off. No returns for item purchased between Sept. 15 to Nov. 15 (too near Halloween season to relist). And, if doing a return other times, I will refund only the list price, not the mailing cost.
