Description: Vintage black lip mother of pearl Cameo setting, of a woman's side profile. This is probably from around the 1950's era. Can be used to set in a broach/pin setting, or a necklace. Found on the beach in Historical Atlantic City, where the oldest part of the boardwalk had been ruined and weather beaten. I found a couple of cameos along this stretch of this beach. In very old photos of folks walking the AC boardwalk, they were always in their best dressed coats, hats, gloves, and shoes. And women commonly wore their favorite Cameo, whether it was a pin on their dress coat, a necklace, or a ring on their finger. I'm assuming cameos found under the old boardwalk were probably lost between the boards by their owner-to be found later under the sea and sand below. This one is still in very good condition; appears like it was mostly buried and protected under the sand for all those years, and came in further with the tide after the great storm Sandy came through years ago. I have saved it awhile, now it's time to move it along to a new owner.
