Kwame Montsho Ajamu Somburu, born Paul Benjamin Boutelle, was an activist, politician, and Black nationalist who ran as a socialist candidate for various political offices, including Mayor of New York City and U.S. Vice President in 1968, and was involved in several organizations advocating for Black rights and opposing the Vietnam War.
