Description: A beautiful collectible set of four U.S. postage stamps issued in 1973 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the introduction of Scottish Black Angus Cattle to the United States. George Grant transported four Scottish Black Angus cattle from Scotland to his ranch on the Kansas Prairie in 1873. He crossbred the bulls with native Texas Longhorn cattle and produced a superior breed of hornless black calves that wintered well on the Kansas praire. These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the Post Office over 50 years ago! Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift to anyone who works on a cattle ranch or collects cow memorabilia! See my other auctions for other blocks of historical significance! All stamps are Mint Never Hinged. Shipping is $1.00 for first class mail. Additional stamp block auctions won, paid for in one COMBINED transaction and shipped at the same time are only 25 cents extra per auction (sheets and booklets not included), with a maximum shipping charge of $5.00, no matter how many auctions you win. Please pay for all of your auctions in one payment. All payments are to be in US currency only. I send stamps out when I receive your payment or the day after if the mail has already gone out. Thanks for looking at my auction. If you have any questions, please email me before bidding.
