Description: Please read through entire description before purchasing! Unit turns on when plugged in and passes its self-test. Boots as it should. However, none of the function buttons (or others) appear to function. I can plug in a mouse and it does respond (as in, I can move the cursor) - so the screen is not completely frozen. However, clicking with the mouse also does not do anything. Sometimes after playing around with the unit for a bit, you can get into some menus if you click at the right time when powering up the unit, but then it still “locks up” and does not let you do anything. I have reason to believe that the thermal block does work, as it does heat up slightly when the unit is powered on (presumably due to the unit’s self-test) - but - I cannot verify this, or any other functionality! I tried getting into the utility menu to attempt to run a more detailed self test or something, but I could not manage to do so, unfortunately. This unit does not come with anything other than the alpha block and the unit itself - no power cable, software, etc cetera. There is a chance that the unit works if it is controlled via software but again, I do not know. This unit has the non-touchscreen option. Please note that the dials on top of each of the thermal wells are not included - I do not know where they went. Unfortunately, due to the nature of this item, I am selling it in as-is condition, and cannot accept any form of returns or refunds.
