If the valve cover gasket flange extends over the machine surface or head face, you will have to grind or file the circled area as needed to allow the bracket to sit flat on the head face. The only issue is that you have to trim the front flange on your valve covers. They inform you of this in the instructions so not a surprise but, running a set of $300 valve covers through my router table is a bit unnerving not difficult just want to get it right.
