An original 1893 hardcover book with leather corners entitled: Harpers Popular Cyclopedia of United States History from the Aboriginal Period. By Benson J. Lossing. Illustrated by over 1000 engravings. This is volume I. I do not have volume 2. Published by Harper & Brothers. 794 pages. Book is in fair condition because the front and back covers are loose. The leather spine cover is mostly gone but the pages are still tightly bound together. Pages for the most part look great other than the first few that have browning to them. Really stunning engravings. They would look great cut and framed and there are 1000 of them! I tend to grade my books tough since I have several thousand of them and I try to mention any issues that I notice with them.
