Description: This insanely unique and beautiful Aquamarine specimen weighing in at 6.9 grams & 4.76 cm long was mined this summer, by an undisclosed professional who found the largest pocket producing some of the finest color, of unheated Aquamarine in the world. Most of these crystals are gem quality, but this crystal is approximately only 50-60% gem clarity, which is very good for the material in general. This crystal is a fine, sharp, GEM/gemmy, slightly hydrothermally etched, rich blue color prism of Aquamarine from one of the more obscure localities for the material. The crystal has an interesting zone near the termination that looks like a Spork”. One simply does not see these beauties offered very often on the market anymore. It is definitely one of the best blue color crystals of this material that I've seen from Idaho. A great North American gem crystal classic! Locality: Sawtooth Mountains, Idaho Specimen
