The pages are clear and easily readable with minor fading and/or yellowing. The author's signature is on the endpaper; there is no authentication but it appears to be genuine. The dust jacket is unclipped with minor chipping and is in very good condition. See photographs. This is a great Pulitzer Prize winning biography, and it would be an excellant addition to anyone's book collection. The book is about 6-1/2" x 9-1/2" x 2", 845 pages, and about 3-4 lbs.+/- with packaging.
